Itinerary:
Your guide will be waiting in your hotel lobby at 8:30 am.
After passing through the middle gate of Tiananmen Square, you will come across a huge red gate that is the entrance to the Forbidden City, which is the highlight of today’s tour. The Forbidden City was once a majestic imperial palace during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is located in the heart of Beijing city and served as the Emperor’s residence and the center for Chinese authorities for nearly five hundred years, where important ceremonies and policy-making took place.
After the Forbidden City, drive 1.5 hours to the Mutianyu Great Wall.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Mutianyu Great Wall.
This part of the Great Wall is most welcomed by travelers for its picturesque scenery, fewer tourists, and beautifully restored architecture. To save you time, we use the round-way cable car to transfer you to the Great Wall (or the ski lift and toboggan down) so that you don’t have to spend time climbing for more than 800 steps. Arriving at the Great Wall, you’ll have about 2 hours hiking on the wall.
You will be dropped off at your hotel after the Great Wall at about 5 pm.
